Hello all! I finished reading the Magician's Nephew yesterday, but before I start reviewing it, I wanted to send some more Narnia background information your way. :-)
First, the Narnia books were written in the following order:
The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe...............1950
Prince Caspian........................................................1951
The Voyage of the Dawn Treader.........................1952
The Silver Chair.......................................................1953
The Horse and His Boy...........................................1954
The Magician's Nephew..........................................1955
The Last Battle.........................................................1956
The above information was taken from wikipedia, if you remember from my C.S. Lewis biography post, I wrote: "The "Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe" was printed in 1950 and even though it was very popular--it was almost 10 years later when he wrote another story in the Narnia books."
As you can tell there is some discrepancy here, so, I'm not entirely sure what the biography meant when it said that there was a 10 year lapse before he wrote another story. Anyway, just wanted you to be aware of that. (unless writing and publishing a story are two different things?)
The suggested reading order is:
The Magician's Nephew
The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe
The Horse and His Boy
Prince Caspian
The Voyage of the Dawn Treader
The Silver Chair
The Last Battle
I will be reviewing them in the following order:
The Magician's Nephew
The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe
Prince Caspian
The Voyage of the Dawn Treader
The Silver Chair
The Horse and His Boy
The Last Battle
Anyway, to learn more about Narnia you can check out these two websites:
Caution on Wikipedia: This is not always the most reliable source in the world, but still it's a good resource and you can learn some interesting things here. Here you can learn about several debates on Narnia and Lewis...some involving whether or not it is meant to be an allegory. :-)

I just found this site the other day. Haven't looked at it extensively, but looks like a good way to learn more about C.S. Lewis. Has a good timeline overview and trivia of Lewis's life.

Hope this information is useful to you! Have a great day!

Hi Amanda! This is not abiout Narnia...but how do you get the box for the scripture of the day and for your note about blogging at the top of your page below your heading. It seems like I am only able to put text boxes to the right side of the template. what are you selecting on the the layout page to place those boxes in the section of your blog?
Thanks!
Dea
Hi Dea! I just drag and drop the box I want and place it under the heading. :-) I do add the box from the right side of the page first, then I drag and drop it. Try to find the "white" area underneath the heading. (it's a similar process to what you do if you want to rearrange your items on the right side) I think it was difficult the first time I tried it, but after awhile I was able to get it. :-) Hope that made sense!
Amanda :-)
